Tips for Creating Custom Glow in the Dark T-shirts
Okay, so you’ve decided you want to create T-shirts that glow in the dark. We have some great tips when starting to think about the design.
- Use a high-quality design program such as Adobe Illustrator. imaginTEE along with many other custom T-shirt printers will NOT accept files in Word, or low res JPGs
- Keep the glow in the dark graphic simple
- T-shirt images sizes can range from 1″ to 13″, this is totally up to you
- Do not use lines thinner than 1/16″
- Consider cost when using multiple colors, for every color it adds more to your per piece price
- Contact imaginTEE or your custom T-shirt screen printer BEFORE spending too much time in design, we can give you more suggestions that could save you time
Do the T-shirts really glow in the dark?
We get this question a lot – do our T-shirts really glow in the dark? So here is the answer: YES our t-shirt graphics glow in the dark. The material does not glow, we print on standard 100% cotton Hanes or Gildan T-shirts for the majority of our orders. Each graphic is silk screened with our custom glow in the dark ink. Ink colors available are: glow white, glow blue, glow green, glow yellow, glow pink, glow orange.
These glow in the dark t-shirts are even more cool in the black light environment! They don’t even need to be charged, as they do in regular light/dark. Walk into a laser tag facility or a cosmic bowling alley – and everyone will notice your T-shirt!

Schools Out! Freedom T-shirt
It was the few weeks of school and my son asked me if I could design a freedom out-of-school T-shirt for them to wear the last day of school. This is what we came up with. Like it so much, we are adding it to the imaginTEE website. Inspired by my 12 year old.
